The Patent Act of July 4, 1836, required that
all patents issued, after this date, be assiged a sequential
number beginning with the number 1. During the period from
January, 1976 to the present, patents were issued from 3,930,271
to 7 million plus. The USPTO database can be searched by,
Patent Number, Inventor Name, Invention Title, Current US
Classification.and over 17 other fields of data. The search will
produce a full text of the patent document. To display the
actual patent and its accompanying drawings will still require a
"TIFF" plug-in for your browser. |
