Messages to Ground Zero:
Children Respond to September 11, 2001 |
| This
is a collection of letters, poetry, and art by children in response to September 11th. All
were sent to other children reflecting innocent support, outreach, and caring. This book
is an archive of what children were thinking and feeling through their honest and heartful
messages. |

| "There is little that is more important for
an American citizen to know than the history and traditions of their country." |

September 11, 2001
started out like any other
Tuesday for most of us. |
 |
But shortly before 9 a.m.,
the worst disaster in
American history
started to unfold. 8:46am
9:03am 9:38am 10:06am |
 |
Before the day was over.
We remembered who we were, why we loved our country and what we needed to do.The freedom bell had rung again, and this time America was
listening. |
 |
| America was united as it had never
been before. One country with a single purpose. Speaking with one voice. Loud enough for
the world to hear. This day had changed our lives forever. |
 |
| We
will never forget! |
