STORY:
Congratulations to Jennifer Tuttle, the winner of Jake's Steinfeld's Live Your Dream contest! Her exemplary business idea is Multiplication Madness, a game that teaches students math skills with the help of chanting, singing and recognizing visual number patterns. She was selected from more than 11,000 aspiring entrepreneurs who entered The "Live Your Dream contest.

This New Baltimore, Michigan resident, mother of two and school teacher created a mathematical equivalent of the grammar sensation "Hooked on Phonics" and won over $250,000 fin cash, products and training for her effort.

Jennifer Tuttle, a 30-year-old mother of two, and elementary school teacher submitted a short essay about her idea and herself that earned her a spot as one of 10 semifinalists in January. She was flown to New York in February, 2006 and selected as the winner. Tuttle lives in New Baltimore, Michigan and taught school at L'Anse Creuse Public Schools' Atwood Elementary in Macomb Township, Michigan.

"I'm extremely excited," said Tuttle, who has been on a leave of absence from her teaching job. "I'm hoping this will be a good avenue to launch my company. I had the ambition to do this, but I needed funding, and winning this has really lit a fire under me to get the job done."

Tuttle's business idea, Multiplication Madness, is a educational game that uses chanting, singing and visual number patterns to teach math .Tuttle used for years a program that teaches kids as young as 8 to multiply by moving, singing, chanting and evaluating visual patterns. She will market to parents and classroom teachers the program as a kit containing CDs, DVDs and a work or guidebook. Kids can learn in as few as five minutes a day, she said.

The Grand Prize includes $200,000 cash as seed money to fund the winnerís business plan; a Marquis Jet Card, worth $50,000, good for 10 hours of flight time on a Citation V Ultra; and a trip to participate in the American Management Associationís prestigious Course for Presidents and CEOs.

The Live Your Dream contest was connected to Jake Steinfeld's first business-oriented book, "I've Seen a Lot of Famous People Naked and They've Got Nothing on You," which his Web site calls an entrepreneurial "pure-Jake motivational kick in the 'buttissimo.'"
