lighter than previous models, yet still allows you to communicate with friends and family
members up to two miles away simply by pushing a button. The TalkAbout 280 SLK operates on
the clear, static-free Family Radio Service (FRS), a license-free UHF FM Frequency
recently created by the FCC. Select from 14 individual channels and 38 privacy codes, for
a total of 532 different channel configurations. The advanced scanning system monitors all
available channels and codes. |

| You can lock in the settings to prevent
them from being changed accidentally. Backlit display shows channel, code, modes, and
battery meter. It can alert you to incoming messages by one of five audible call alert
signals. If you need hands-free operation, use the VOX feature and set it to one of three
sensitivity levels when used with the optional headset and microphone. Each radio requires three (3) AA batteries (not included) for upto 30 hours
of operation. Range depends on terrain and conditions. One-year warranty. Family Radio
